In January 2013, I joined forces with a small group called BoomAgers, with the goal of starting a new agency.  All we needed was a client. ​ We went after, and won, the Always Discreet brand, a large P&G global business that was previously at a major agency network.

There, I sat on the leadership team, and together, we created the agency vision and built out our creative capabilities.  We worked hand-in-glove with the Brand team on all phases of the business, from product R&D, to creative research, development and execution, across all mediums, on a global scale. I was integral to developing a turnkey system for producing global work for all media. in multiple languages, all on a single production.  

From July 2021 - September 2022, I  freelanced for several great agencies and clients, and worked on everything from activations, digital and manifestos, to TV and radio, to corporate holiday cards, and pretty much everything in-between.  

 

Since September 2022, I've been a CD/CW at SPM/Unlock Health, working on Emory Healthcare, Nebraska Medicine, Shallowford Wellness, UChicago Medicine, University of Iowa Health Care, and Virtua Health.  

 

I am accustomed to wearing many hats, and playing up and playing down, constantly.  And I still do the "end zone happy dance" in my head, every time I hit the big idea.  Thank you.

ABOUT ME

Throughout my career, I’ve been many things. Most notably:  problem-solver, punctuation geek, and go-to. As in, “Go to Susie. She'll write it/spin it/solve it.” 

I am what you’d call a writer’s writer.  I truly love the art and the craft of it all. And it goes well beyond the words. I believe that behind every great execution is a well-thought-out, strategic idea. That an airtight brief is worth its weight in gold. And that you have to know how to write anything and everything, well. Not just consumer-facing creative. Concepts, positioning statements, manifestos, and sizzle videos are just as important. 

I've worked for some of the best agencies in the business, on some of the biggest brands out there. I've gotten to know some really great people. And along the way, ​​I’ve learned from some true legends. The ones you learn about in ad school.
